1. About VotelKart

VotelKart is an online marketplace that connects guests with hotels, banquet halls, and lawns across India. We are a listing and booking facilitation platform only. We do not own, manage, or operate any of the properties listed. The contractual relationship for accommodation is strictly between the guest and the property owner.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using VotelKart, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform. These terms apply to all users — guests, property owners, and visitors.

3. Booking Process

When you place a booking: your request is sent to the property owner for confirmation; the owner must confirm before it is finalised; a unique booking reference is issued upon confirmation; VotelKart is not liable if the property owner fails to honour a confirmed booking.

4. Payment Terms

All payments are made directly to the property at check-in (Pay at Hotel). VotelKart does not collect, hold, or process any guest payments. You pay the hotel directly in cash or card. A platform commission is charged separately to property owners — this is not an additional charge to guests.

5. Property Listings

All properties are reviewed and approved by VotelKart before going live. However, we do not guarantee the accuracy of descriptions, photos, pricing, or availability provided by property owners. We encourage guests to contact the property directly before arrival.

6. User Accounts

You are responsible for the confidentiality of your account credentials. VotelKart reserves the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms or engage in fraudulent activity.

7. Cancellations

Since no advance payment is collected by VotelKart, cancelling a booking simply voids the reservation. Please inform the property as early as possible. VotelKart charges no cancellation fees.

8. Limitation of Liability

VotelKart acts solely as an intermediary. We are not liable for disputes, damages, losses, or dissatisfaction arising from your stay. Our maximum liability shall not exceed the platform commission applicable to the booking in question.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.

Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Account: Name, email, mobile number, encrypted password.  Booking: Dates, room preferences, special requests, booking history.  Business owners: Business name, GST number, PAN number, bank details (for commission settlements).  Usage: Pages visited, search queries, and device information for service improvement.

2. How We Use Your Information

To process and confirm bookings; send booking confirmations and invoices; share your name and mobile number with the property owner to facilitate your stay; process commission settlements; improve our platform, detect fraud, and ensure security; send important service notifications (no promotional emails without consent).

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share only your name and mobile number with property owners to facilitate confirmed bookings. We do not share data with advertisers.

4. Data Security

Passwords are stored using bcrypt hashing. Our platform uses prepared SQL statements to prevent injection attacks. No system is 100% secure — we recommend using a strong, unique password.

5. Cookies

VotelKart uses session cookies strictly for login and authentication. We do not use tracking, advertising, or third-party analytics cookies.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting admin@votelkart.com. We respond within 30 days. Account deletion removes all personal data except records required for legal and tax compliance.

7. Children's Privacy

VotelKart is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. Contact us immediately if you believe a minor has registered.

How the Payment Flow Works

Cancellation Before Arrival

Since no advance payment is collected, cancelling your booking simply voids the reservation — there is no monetary transaction to reverse. Please inform the property as early as possible as a courtesy. VotelKart charges no cancellation fees whatsoever.

Disputes After Check-in

Any disputes regarding room quality, overcharging, or service issues must be raised directly with the property. VotelKart cannot intervene in financial transactions between guests and property owners. However, if you believe a property acted fraudulently or misrepresented itself, please report it to us at admin@votelkart.com and we will investigate and may remove the property from our platform.

Commission (Property Owners)

Commission paid by property owners to VotelKart is non-refundable once a guest has checked in. For bookings cancelled before check-in by either party, the commission obligation is waived.
